Senate Bill 295 (Waugh) Amends the Housing Authorities Law to increase the dollar threshold at which authorities must seek bids from several contractors.

Amendment A01672 – Every five-year adjustment will be rounded to the nearest thousand instead of hundred; Requires that contracts or purchases involving the expenditure of more than $10,000 dollars, but less than $25,000, shall be posted on the Authority’s Internet website and in the place where the Authority meets.

Senate Bill 297 (Pippy) Amends the Pennsylvania Innkeepers’ Rights Act to require job applicants to undergo a criminal history check if they apply for a job that would give them access to guest room keys.

Senate Bill 923 (Pippy) Amends the Housing Authorities Law allowing authorities in second class counties to hire police officers.

House Bill 442 (Helm) Amends Title 68 (Real and Personal Property) to prohibit the imposition of a private transfer fee on the sale of a property.

Amendment A01007 – Amends Section 8105 to assure that a person who records or enters into a private transfer fee obligation in his favor may be held liable, not awarded.
